I was wondering which you prefer? I am about to start the film, and it got me wondering which I should pick. You could say it's a judgement call, and it is, but watching a little of the beginning of each doesn't create a vivid picture of which is most preferred as a whole.
Does anyone know of another site, or area of this website where I could find opinions on which people prefer for certain anime?

When it comes to Miyazaki's movies, either sub or dub is good. When I first watched mononoke back in 98, it was in japanese and I really liked it making it one of my personal favorite. Then a few years later I had bought the dvd and realized Claire Danes and Billy Bob Thornton were part of the voice cast which at first I thought was just a way of bringing people to watch the anime(due to having a celeb cast).....but I was surprised that they actually didn't sound too bad. The only thing I found with the Eng voice cast is that it can be unnatural when their talking of Japanese reference in its English language.
So either way, both sub or dub is good, but if you want to watch something that's closer to home then I'd lean more subs

Sub is in most cases not a wrong choice. But the Princess Mononoke dub is one of my favorite dubs probably, even within Miyazakis movies.

Finished with it. Great movie! I tried both, and although the subbed version had slightly better voice acting, it was easier on the eyes to just watch it in dub, which had great voice acting, too.

Definitely watch it subbed its a much better experience, it captures the intricacies of what the characters are saying so much better and the voice acting is fantastic in the japanese, the english is very meh just not a big fan of the way they force some of the phrasing.

I had a hard time with Thornton voicing a monk. And though I like Gillian Anderson, I couldn't help but hear Scully every time Moro spoke. That's why I dislike the obvious commercial decision to cast known American actors in these roles.
